Leadership

A leader is someone who has the essential qualities and is willing to meet the requirements of other people.

Attributes of a good leader

  • Loving – When you compare love and fear, you’ll find that love is much stronger emotion than fear because fear fades with time. Leaders who lead by love earn respect compared to those who enforce people to respect them. Leaders who use fear to obtain obedience from their followers find it difficult to lead for a long time. They have to create an atmosphere of fear each time they feel like fear is wearing out.
  • Caring – For a leader to maintain his leadership existence, he has to meet people’s emotions. Since people are always moved by emotions and easily remember those who did care for them .
  • Supportive – A leader should strive to nurture other people in order to develop leadership skills in them as well.
  • Principled – A leader should stick to his principles no matter the circumstances.
  • A leader should be ready to listen to everyone. He should be of service to others by valuing his followers and not make an attempt to use them. He should also think people first but not their leadership position.
  • Appreciative – a leader should learn to appreciate people . He should sincerely appreciate his followers in order to make them feel important which should actually be the point.

Leadership is a symbol of unity which makes it an important role in the society. If you feel that you are called to be a leader then you need to have all the attributes stated above. If you lack some of these qualities, your followers will always be talking negatively and complaining behind your back. Forced leadership embraces disrespect and without respect no one fits to be a leader.
